​Dr. Bassam is a consultant medical doctor and the President of the Jordan Medical Association branch in Aqaba​. He is an active organizer for many of medical events and seminars in Aqaba. He also encourages medical and other health allied professions, including nursing, to integrate into health and medical activities, research, and training. ​
