● Researching Current and Emerging Topics in Nutrition and Cardiometabolic Health
Nowadays, we are conducting high-quality research projects for postgraduate students focusing on dietary habits and patterns, eating disorders, chronotype, and metabolic health in visceral obesity and diabetes mellitus. These conditions are the crucial risk factors for cardiometabolic syndrome. Moreover, we are exploring nutrition knowledge, attitudes, and practices concerning obesity and diabetes mellitus. More recently, we have also performed research on cardiometabolic health and food addictions.
● Exploring New Risk Factors Associated with Cardiometabolic Syndrome
We identified several new risk factors related to cardiometabolic syndrome, other than the classical ones, such as irisin, uric acid, atherogenic risk indices, and visceral adiposity indices explored in most of our research.
