​As a member of the Scientific and Economic Experts Committee in the Middle East, Professor Shereen Kakish participated in the regional meeting of heads of French language and literature departments in the Middle East, organized by The Francophone University Agency (AUF) in the region along with French institutes. The main objective of this meeting was to strengthen relationships between French language departments and assist them in their training and research activities, as well as to discuss issues related to teaching French in universities today in the context of linguistic diversity and education in the age of technological advancement and artificial intelligence. The meeting was held in person in Beirut from April 9 to 11, 2025, and was attended by more than 60 people of French language departments from universities that are members of The Francophone University Agency (AUF) in the Middle East, in addition to language, translation, and education centers. General sessions and workshops were organized and led by academic experts from three continents.​
