International Workshop on Interdisciplinary Specializations in Sport Sciences and Their Role in Enhancing Performance and Learning at the University of Mosul


Participation of Professor Dr. Ibrahim Aldabaibh in the International Workshop on Interdisciplinary Specializations in Sport Sciences and Their Role in Enhancing Performance and Learning at the University of Mosul

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences – University of Mosul, in cooperation with Al-Hadbaa University College, organized the International Workshop titled “Interdisciplinary Specializations in Sport Sciences and Their Role in Enhancing Performance and Learning”, held from October 26–28, 2025.

The first day included two scientific sessions:

  • The first session, chaired by Dr. Ibrahim Aldabaibh and coordinated by Professor Dr. Moayad Abdulrazzaq Al-Haso, featured a lecture by Daniel Elickert from Germany titled “True International Relations: Connecting People through Valuable Public and Private Partnerships.”

  • The second session, chaired by Professor Dr. Wadie Yassin Al-Tikriti and coordinated by Professor Dr. Nawfal Fadel Rashid, included three scientific presentations:

    • Dr. Bakr Dhnibat: “AI-Supported Digital Learning: Toward an Academic Model for Enhancing Teaching Efficiency.”

    • Professor Dr. Ibrahim Aldabaibh: “The Role of Physiology in Sport Sciences: From the Laboratory to the Field.”

    • Professor Dr. Mohammad Tawfiq Othman Aghwan: “Challenges and Opportunities in Integrating Interdisciplinary Specializations: A Future Vision for Sport Sciences – From Academic Division to Cognitive Interaction in Service of Humanity.”

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of knowledge integration and interdisciplinary interaction within sport sciences to advance teaching and learning methods and improve athletic performance. It also sought to strengthen scientific cooperation among academics, researchers, and postgraduate students through the exchange of expertise and constructive discussions, thereby contributing to the development of scientific research and the advancement of sport sciences within academic institutions
