He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at Philadelphia University in 2014, and from September 2015, he has been a faculty member at the University of Jordan's Department of Electrical Engineering. Antenna design, applied electromagnetic, RF and microwave circuit design, dielectric-loaded waveguides, printed antennas, compact multiband antennas, and electromagnetic compatibility are among his current research interests. Dr. Faouri has published over 30 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences around the world. He serves as a reviewer for several prestigious journals, including IEEE Access, Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology (TCPMT), International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics (IJAEM), International Journal of Communication Systems (IJCS), and the Microwave and Optical Technology Letter (MOTL).​
