University of Jordan Library


The University of Jordan Library houses an archive of Arabic manuscripts, documents, records, news papers and magazines on microfilm.

The library has completed the electronic archiving of approximately 4,143,112 million pages of Arabic and foreign language newspapers.

The manuscript research department contains a valuable and unique collection of knowledge sources in the form of manuscripts, rare books, newspapers and periodicals.

The library preserves old and new documents and records in various microfilm formats, which are prepared, photographed, archived and cataloged in the information department.

Library of Alexandria


The Library of Alexandria boasts a rich collection of rare acquisitions and collections, making it a unique destination for researchers and those interested in cultural heritage.

The library houses thousands of valuable manuscripts dating back to different historical periods, including rere religious, philosophical and literary texts.

it contains origional copies of historical books that have carefully restored.

The library also holds a collection of ancient maps documenting evolution of geography throughout the ages.

The raremanuscripts department contains arcgaeological manuscripts written in multiple languages, including Greek and Arabic.

The rare images archive containes old photographs documenting various stages of Egyptian history.

The rare books collection includes origional editions of valuable literary and scientific works.

Center for Documents, Manuscripts, and Bilad al-Sham Studies​

 

Collects documents, manuscripts, and record s of Islamic courts and 

 endowments in Bilad al-Sham, as well as newpapers, reports, maps, travel accounts, novels, files, memoirs, and photographs, preserving and documenting them according to scientific principles.

Jordan Academy of Arabic

The Academic is interested in the affairs of the Arabic language, preserving, developing and encouraging it in various fields of art.
Arts and sciences...
It aims to achieve a set of objectives, including reserving the integrity of the Arabic language and working to keep pace with the requirements of modern literature, sciences and arts, promoting the Arabic language to keep pace with the requirements of the knowledge society, developing dictionaries of terminology for sciences, literature and arts, and striving to unify terminology in cooperation with educational,
scientific, linguistic and cultural institutions inside and outside the Kingdom, and reviving the Arab and Islamic heritage. 
The Academy also seeks to cooperate between various educational institutions inside and outside the Kingdom in order to unify language terminology.
