Zaid Khalid Al-Zuraiqat is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, University of Jordan. He was born on March 8, 1955. He earned his Ph.D. in Islamic Philosophy from Jamia Millia Islamia in India in 1987.He specializes in Islamic philosophy, with particular interest in Eastern philosophy, especially in the fields of political philosophy and the philosophy of history.He has published numerous research papers in the areas of Islamic and Eastern thought, including studies on Confucian political theory, the Buddhist concept of self-denial, the political and social philosophy of Laozi, as well as analytical work in Islamic thought, such as rational proofs of God's existence in Maturidi philosophy.
