Basim Ibrahim holds a PhD in Andalusian Literature from Ain Shams University, earned in 1995 with Highest Honor. He is currently a Professor Emeritus of Literature and Criticism at the Department of Arabic Language and Literature in the Faculty of Arts at Menoufia University, a position he has held since 2011. Dr. Ibrahim is a distinguished scholar in Andalusian literature and Arabic literary criticism, with a long-standing academic career marked by influential publications, extensive research, and dedicated teaching. His contributions to the field have enriched the understanding of classical Arabic literature, particularly the Andalusian tradition, and he continues to be an esteemed figure in Arabic literary studies.​
