Dr. Emad Al-Karablieh and Dr. Faisal Aziz have been awarded international research funding for the project entitled: “From Waste to Resource: Recycling By-products of Olive Oil Extraction for Sustainable Agricultural Practices in the Mediterranean Region (CYCLOLIVE)" under the PRIMA-2023 Program.
The project will be implemented during the period 2024–2027 and involves a consortium of international academic and research institutions, including the University of Florence and the University of Turin (Italy), Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V. (Germany), CEBAS-CSIC (Spain), the University of Jordan (Jordan), MetaMeta Anatolia (Turkey), the University of Sfax (Tunisia), and the University of Lorraine (France). The project aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices through recycling olive oil extraction by-products and converting them into value-added resources, thereby supporting circular economy approaches across the Mediterranean region.
