He earned his M.B.B.Ch. from the University of Jordan (1978), followed by an M.S. in Public Health (Occupational Health) in 1982 and a Doctor of Science (Environmental Health) in 1984 from Tulane University, USA. He also holds the Jordanian Board in Occupational Health (1985).​
