professor ahmad is a Full Professor of Civil Engineering specializing in Environmental Engineering and Resource Management, with more than 30 years of academic, research, and international consulting experience. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware, USA, graduating with a perfect GPA of 4.00/4.00, and ranked first in his class during his undergraduate studies.
Throughout his career, he has held several prominent leadership positions, including Dean of Engineering, Dean of Academic Research, and Deputy Dean, in addition to his long-standing role as a professor at the University of Jordan and various institutions in Oman. He has played a key role in developing academic programs, managing colleges, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
His research portfolio includes major projects funded by internationally recognized organizations such as USAID, UNDP, the World Bank Institute, WHO, GTZ, as well as national ministries and strategic research funds. His expertise spans air pollution control, solid waste management, environmental impact assessment, water and wastewater systems design, integrated water resources management, hydrology, and environmental policy.
As a consultant, he has contributed to high-impact initiatives in climate change, environmental management, wastewater reuse, urban planning, sustainable development, and health and environmental risk assessments across the Middle East.
