Partnerships


​Partnerships have provided us with access to additional expertise, resources, funding, and networks that significantly enhanced the quality and impact of the research. Below are some examples of previous and current partnerships:

1) Public sector: Government and public sector organizations including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and Jordanian Food and Drug Administration among others. 

  • The​ Ministry of Health: This partnership aims to strengthen evidence-based nutrition policies and programs by collaborating with the Ministry of Health on key research initiatives. The goal for this partnership is to improve population health outcomes. The collaboration with the Ministry of Health aims to conduct research on dietary patterns, nutritional deficiencies, and metabolic diseases in the population, assess the impact of national nutrition policies and interventions, and translate research findings into actionable health and nutrition policies.​
  • The Ministry of Education: This partnership seeks to integrate nutrition research into recognizing the critical link between nutrition, cognitive development, and educational performance. The collaboration with the Ministry of Education aims to foster nutrition-friendly school environments. The goal for this partnership is to assess the nutritional status of school-aged children using surveys on dietary intake, growth, and micronutrient deficiencies, evaluate the nutritional impact of existing school feeding and practices, and investigate the behavioral drivers of food choices among students.
  • The Jordanian Food and Drug Administration: This partnership aims to strengthen food policy, safety, and innovation through evidence-based nutrition research. Working with the FDA, the collaboration focuses on aligning scientific research with regulatory frameworks to promote public health through improved food systems and nutritional standards.​

2) Public and Private Hospitals: This partnership engages hospitals as key settings for conducting clinical nutrition research. By collaborating with healthcare institutions, the goal is to bridge the gap between nutrition science and patient care and improve clinical nutrition practices. The goal for this partnership is conduct research on the role of nutrition in disease prevention, management, and recovery, evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions on morbidity and quality of life, integrate personalized nutrition in the treatment of chronic diseases, and promote adoption of evidence-based nutrition standards in patient care.​

3) Private health sector, including private hospitals, health clinics, and laboratories. All of which facilitated data collection and analyses.

4​) International collaboration including: 

  • non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as WHO and NGOs to collect research data that aid in enhancing population health. 
  • Pharmaceutical companies mainly Nutritional Fundamentals for Health that has produced products for research purposes.
  • Private companies such as Decernis​ LLC. that helps improve the understanding of food-related regulations worldwide


4) Collaborative partnerships with funding bodies to secure financial support for nutrition research.
