​​​​Dr. Lara Nasreddine is a Professor of Human Nutrition and the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences at the American University of Beirut (AUB). She earned her PhD degree in Nutrition and Food Toxicology from the “Université de Bretagne Occidentale" in France. Since joining AUB in 2007, she has been heavily involved in research, teaching, and community service. She served as the coordinator of the Nutrition and Dietetics undergraduate program between 2009 and 2016, and as chairperson of the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences between May 2014 and August 2016. Dr. Nasreddine's main research interests focus on two priorities in nutritional sciences, namely 1) dietary assessment and the investigation of diet-disease relationships; and dietary exposure assessment. She has published more than 125 manuscripts in internal renowned journals. She won the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers under the section on Health and Medical Sciences in 2014 and won the Rebeiz Best Paper Award for the years 2011 and 2012.​
