8. Dr. Alaaldin M. Alkilany won the “Georg Forster Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers " at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Germany, in February 2017 (hosted by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang J. Parak Laboratory, Center of Hybrid Nanostructures (CHyN), University of Hamburg).

10. Dr. Ahmad Telfah won the ARC'16 Award: Best Poster Presentation at the Qatar Foundation Annual Research Conference, Doha, Qatar (March 2016).
11. Dr. Ahmad Telfah developed the following Softwares:
LujainCode (V1.0 – V1.03): Developed a Maple program that generates MATLAB code for simulating the quantum evolution of multi-spin molecules in NMR (2012-2017).
SIGMA-MPI (V1.0 – V7.0): Created software for the complete analysis of AC-impedance spectra from various conductivity cells (2005-2017).
12. Dr Sharif Abdelghany won a Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship: one month of research on microneedles encapsulating nanosuspension for transdermal delivery at Queen's University Belfast, School of Pharmacy. Erasmus, a one-week teaching award at the University of Helsinki, Finland.
