Dr. Al-Motassem Fahmi Yousef is a distinguished professor of pharmacology and therapeutics at The University of Jordan, with extensive academic and professional contributions in the fields of molecular pharmacology, pharmacy care, and pharmacogenomics. He has held pivotal administrative roles, including Vice Dean for Quality and Accreditation and Dean’s Assistant for Hospital Affairs, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in education and institutional development. Dr. Yousef’s academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of South Carolina, supported by an outstanding GPA and enriched by hands-on clinical and research experience.

Dr. Yousef’s research portfolio is diverse and impactful, encompassing rational drug use, genetic polymorphisms in pharmacokinetics, and the optimization of therapeutic strategies for chronic diseases. His studies on pharmacogenomics have shed light on the influence of genetic variations on drug response, particularly in Jordanian populations.
