​Dr. Abbass Al-Momani's study revealed​​ a novel function for chloride intracellular channel (CLIC) 4, namely that it acts upstream of moesin and ezrin activation, similar to the function of CLIC5A. Thus the function of CLIC proteins is not restricted to Cl​​^- channel activity.
