Dr. Abass Al-Momany is an assistant professor of physiology specializing in cell signaling, renal physiology, and protein post-translational modifications. He earned his Ph.D. in Human Physiology from the School of Medicine at the University of Alberta, Canada, and has been actively engaged in research and teaching for 15 years.
Dr. Al-Momany has made significant contributions to the field through his research on cell signaling mechanisms that regulate actin cytoskeleton remodeling in podocyte foot processes, crucial for maintaining the glomerular filtration barrier. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and he has received several awards recognizing his excellence in research.
As an educator, Dr. Al-Momany has taught a variety of courses, including human anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, and endocrinology, to students in medical, pharmacy, and medical laboratory programs. He is known for fostering strong relationships with both his students and colleagues.
Currently, Dr. Al-Momany serves as an assistant professor in the Medical Laboratory Sciences Department at the School of Science, University of Jordan, where he continues to inspire future scientists and medical professionals through his dedication to teaching and research.
