Currently serving as the Dean of The Academy by MedLabs since September 2022, Dr. Abed plays a pivotal role in shaping medical education and professional training for laboratory specialists. Prior to this, she was the Director & Consultant Hematopathologist at MedLabs Reference Laboratory (2020–2022), where she provided expert diagnostic oversight and contributed to the development of advanced laboratory protocols.

From 2013 to 2020, Dr. Abed was the Lab Director at Advanced Medical Solutions Lab, MedLabs Group, where she led operational and clinical advancements in laboratory diagnostics. Before joining MedLabs, she held significant roles at Prince Hamzah Hospital, Ministry of Health, serving as Deputy Lab Director (2006–2013) and later as Lab Director (2013), overseeing laboratory operations and quality assurance initiatives.

Dr. Abed began her specialized journey in Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology as a Resident at the Royal Medical Services (RMS) from 2000 to 2004. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Medicine and General Surgery from the University of Jordan in 1998 and completed a Postgraduate Residency Program at the Royal Medical Services in Amman.

She holds the Jordanian Board Certificate (2004) from the Jordan Medical Council and has been a licensed medical professional in Jordan since the same year. With her deep expertise in hematopathology and laboratory medicine, Dr. Abed continues to contribute significantly to the field through leadership, education, and diagnostic excellence.
