Abstract: With the increasing importance of online learning in higher education, particularly in response to global challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, this study investigates the factors influencing academic performance among diploma and bachelor’s degree students in Jordan who use online learning systems.

Using a conceptual model based on an extensive review of existing literature, we employed a quantitative research methodology to collect data through survey questionnaires. The study gathered empirical data from 846 students and used PLS-SEM for analysis.

The results show that task-technology fit and students' satisfaction significantly contribute to enhanced learning performance, underscoring their vital role in the academic success of students using online learning systems. Additionally, the quality of systemservice, and information are critical factors influencing task effectiveness, which in turn impacts overall student performance.

We hope that our findings offer valuable insights for improving the design and implementation of online learning systems to maximize academic success in higher education.
