Research Interests

Dr. Tahani Khatib’s research primarily focuses on Digital Multimedia Watermarking, Feature Extraction, and Image Processing. She is particularly interested in the development of advanced techniques for watermarking digital multimedia content, ensuring its authenticity and protection from unauthorized use. Additionally, Dr. Khatib conducts research in image vision and the application of feature extraction algorithms to enhance image analysis. Her work also includes defect detection and text detection in images, aiming to automate processes such as quality inspection and content analysis. With a strong foundation in image processing, Dr. Khatib's work contributes to several areas of computer vision, including security, multimedia content protection, and efficient data processing techniques.

Biography

Dr. Tahani Khatib is a Teacher at the King Abdullah II for Information Technology, in the Computer Information Systems Department at the University of Jordan in Amman. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Jordan, where she specialized in the field of Digital Multimedia Watermarking and Image Processing. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Khatib has published numerous articles on image processing, contributing significantly to the academic literature. She has also collaborated on publishing a book chapter on image processing and authored a book focused on .NET Framework Visual Programming. Her passion for advancing the field of image processing and multimedia security is reflected in her extensive research and publications, making her a notable academic in these domains.
