Dr. Mahmoud Maqableh’s research primarily focuses on cybersecurity, cryptography, and the security of e-business systems. His work in cryptography is centered on the design and analysis of security primitives, particularly those based on chaotic systems, aimed at enhancing the security of eCommerce transactions. Additionally, Dr. Maqableh explores the integration of security measures within information systems and management information systems (MIS), addressing critical challenges in the protection of digital infrastructures. His current research interests include the evolution of cybersecurity technologies, the implementation of secure e-business systems, and the application of advanced cryptographic methods in safeguarding digital environments. Dr. Maqableh is also deeply involved in studying the cybersecurity of emerging technologies, such as cloud computing and social media platforms.
Dr. Mahmoud Mohammad Maqableh is a Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Jordan, where he has significantly contributed to the development of cybersecurity education and research. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Durham University, UK, with a dissertation on the "Analysis and Design of Security Primitives Based on Chaotic Systems for eCommerce." In addition to his academic qualifications, Dr. Maqableh is an Associate of the Higher Education Academy (AHEA) in the UK and is a member of the Jordan Society for Scientific Research and the Jordan Computer Society. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Maqableh has held numerous leadership roles, including Vice-Dean of the Deanship of Scientific Research and Chairperson of the Management Information Systems Department at the University of Jordan. He has also served as the Director of the Career Guidance Office at the King Abdullah II Fund for Development. With a strong academic and administrative background, Dr. Maqableh continues to advance research in the fields of cybersecurity and information systems, while shaping the future of digital security education in Jordan and beyond.
