Dr. Ahmad Al Hwaitat’s research interests focus on cybercrime investigation, digital forensics, and information security. His work delves into the development of advanced methods for cybercrime detection, incident response, and digital evidence collection. He is particularly interested in improving cybersecurity practices to reduce cybercrime risks and enhance the efficacy of digital forensic analysis. Additionally, his research explores the role of cybercrime investigation in addressing emerging threats such as the trafficking of humans via the internet, as well as developing more efficient strategies for incident response and cybercrime mitigation.

Biography:

Dr. Ahmad Al Hwaitat is an Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity at the University of Jordan, where he teaches and conducts research in the fields of cybersecurity and digital forensics. With over 11 years of professional experience in the Cyber Crimes Unit at the Criminal Investigation Department, Dr. Al Hwaitat has been at the forefront of tackling cybercrimes and addressing complex issues related to human trafficking on the internet. His extensive work in digital evidence development has made him a recognized expert in the field.

Dr. Al Hwaitat's research is focused on improving incident response systems and enhancing cybercrime risk reduction strategies. He is dedicated to advancing knowledge in digital forensics, and his research aims to provide new insights into the prevention and investigation of online criminal activities. Through his academic and professional experiences, Dr. Al Hwaitat continues to contribute to the ongoing evolution of cybersecurity practices.
