Research Interests

Dr. Malak Al-Hassan’s research interests are primarily focused on intelligent systems and e-services, with a particular emphasis on e-government services. She is dedicated to advancing the use of semantic-enhanced recommender systems, which aim to improve the personalization and accuracy of online recommendations. Dr. Al-Hassan’s work also explores sentiment analysis and web intelligence analysis, where she investigates how social media and web-based data can be analyzed to extract meaningful insights for decision-making. Additionally, her research delves into decision support systems, focusing on their role in improving organizational decision-making processes. Through her work, Dr. Al-Hassan strives to develop systems that enhance user experience, increase accessibility to government services, and improve the decision-making capabilities of both individuals and organizations.

Biography

Dr. Malak Al-Hassan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Information Technology at the University of Jordan, where she has been teaching since 2015. She holds a PhD in Computer Information Systems from the University of Technology, Sydney, specializing in Intelligent Systems and E-services. Dr. Al-Hassan also holds a Master’s degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree from Yarmouk University. She is an active researcher and has made significant contributions to the fields of e-government, e-services, and web intelligence. Her academic work continues to influence advancements in intelligent systems and decision support systems, as she seeks to improve both the accessibility and effectiveness of digital services in the public and private sectors.
