​Prof. Mohammad Alsalem, specializes in the mechanisms of pain and nociception. His work extensively explores receptor-specific roles in pain modulation, focusing on cannabinoids, opioids, and NSAIDs. Through his research, Prof. Alsalem has advanced understanding in developing models to study pain processes, including recent work on the molecular dynamics of TRPV1 receptor and their impact on peripheral pain responses.
