I. Royal Scientific Society (RSS)Formal Partnership for Advanced Polymer Science & Materials Innovation
Collaboration Overview:
Our group has established a formal partnership with Jordan’s RSS to advance polymer science and materials innovation. This collaboration integrates our specialized research with RSS’s national accredited laboratories for comprehensive testing and analysis. A key strategic advantage is the dual role of Eng. Jawad Al Zoubi, a team member who also serves as Manager of the Conformity Certification Division at RSS, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment with industry standards from the outset.
Key Strengths:
Direct Laboratory Access & Standardized Testing – Formal access to RSS’s national labs for mechanical, thermal, and chemical analyses compliant with ASTM/ISO standards.
Strategic Integration for Efficiency – Eng. Al Zoubi’s role streamlines communication and ensures projects are designed to meet certification requirements from inception.
Accelerated Path to Application – Creates a pipeline from R&D to certified, market-ready materials, supporting Jordan’s industrial growth and positioning the Kingdom as a regional hub for advanced technologies.
Industry Partnership for Applied Research & Resource Support
Company Profile:
Since its establishment in 1984, World Plastics has emerged as a leading manufacturer of advanced piping systems. The company holds a distinguished position in the industry as the first producer outside of Europe to manufacture Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PPRC) pipes under the THERMOPIPE brand. It is also the only company in Jordan producing cross-linked polyethylene pipe with an oxygen diffusion barrier (PEX 5L).
Over more than 38 years of operation, World Plastics has achieved numerous milestones at both local and international levels. The company offers a diverse portfolio of over 18 high-quality products and manages prominent commercial agencies, particularly within the health sector. Through this extensive experience, World Plastics has built a strong reputation and earned the trust and recognition of both its clients and principals.
Partnership Benefits:
Our research group maintains a strong collaborative relationship with the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) . Founded in 1942, SPE has evolved from a traditional engineering society into a dynamic, global community that serves the entire plastics ecosystem under its current mission: Inspiring Plastics Professionals.
Through this affiliation, we leverage SPE's vast network of technical divisions and local sections to disseminate our research, stay current on industry trends, and collaborate with peers in both academia and industry. Whether participating in the annual ANTEC conference or contributing to specialized technical journals, our engagement with SPE ensures that our work remains relevant to the evolving needs of the plastics industry—from material science innovation to sustainable manufacturing practices.
Global Reach: Active in over 70 countries with local Sections and student chapters.
Multidisciplinary: Encompasses the entire lifecycle of plastics—from raw material synthesis and compounding to part design, processing, and sustainability.
Knowledge Hub: Home to the world-renowned SPE Plastics Research Online and the technical library from the ANTEC® (Annual Technical Conference) proceedings.
Industry 4.0 & Sustainability: Actively driving conversations around the Circular Economy for plastics, advanced recycling, and digital manufacturing.
