Student Research

Our lab has a strong track record of mentoring and guiding master and undergraduate students in their innovative research projects. Previously, we supervised Nowar Sararyeh focused on loading gemcitabine into niosomes for enhanced cancer therapy.

Currently, we are supervising four master students engaged in pioneering research:

Tasnim Altaharweh: Thesis title:  "Development of dissolving polymeric microneedles for the transdermal delivery of methotrexate for cancer therapy".Joined September 2023.

Shahad Fahr:  Thesis title: Developing one-layer dissolving microneedle gemcitabine formulations for cancer therapy. Joined September 2023.

Ayman Abbas: Thesis title: "Development polymeric microneedles for localized anesthetic delivery of Benzoaine". Joined September 2024.

We have also supervised two undergraduate students, Mais Melhem and Majd Fashho, who examined the prevalence of needle phobia among Jordanians and the potential of utilizing microneedles as an alternative to traditional parenteral medications. This resulted ina publication in a high impact journal: Needle phobia among adult jordanians: General awareness, prevalence; and exploring microneedles as a promising solution

Our commitment to fostering student research continues to drive advancements in drug delivery and therapeutic technologies.
