Dr. Samer H. Zyoud holds a Ph.D. in Applied and Engineering Physics from Universiti Sains Malaysia, with a focus on Semiconductor Fabrication, Thin Film, Epitaxy, and Nanostructures. With a notable career of over 21 years, he is a dedicated faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Science at Ajman University and coordinates the Advanced Nanotechnology Research Group. His research spans semiconductor materials and devices, nano-metal oxide thin films and powders, nano-metal chalcogenide thin films and powders, multiple organic thin film layers, organic Schottky diodes, and polymer composites and nanocomposites. Dr. Zyoud also explores graphene oxide and nanocomposites, bio-ceramics, semiconductor lasers, polymers, antimicrobials, and nano-photocatalytic materials. His technical skills include designing devices such as diodes, MSM sensors, photodiodes, silver nanowire-based optoelectronics, and solar cells. As the founder of the Ajman University NanoMaker Team (AUNMT), he leads efforts in developing affordable nanomaterial production techniques. His contribution to science includes authoring over 100 research papers in leading international journals and serving as a peer-reviewer.
