Research Group to Present Three Papers at International AI Conference in Amman

​The Machine Learning for Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision research group has achieved a significant milestone with the acceptance of three research papers at The 1st International Conference on Computational Intelligence Approaches and Applications (ICCIAA 2025). The conference will be held in Amman from April 28–30, 2025, bringing together experts in artificial intelligence and computational intelligence.

The group will present innovative research on Arabic natural language processing, showcasing advancements in automatic diacritization, Jordanian dialect recognition, and Arabic dialect text classification. The accepted papers are:

1. "Automatic Diacritization of Arabic Text and Poetry Using Pretrained Byte-to-Byte Language Models and Multiphase Training" – R. Aljaber and G. Abandah
2. "Accurate Jordanian Arabic Dialect Text Recognition Using the ByT5 Pre-trained Language Model" – A. Alsaweir and G. Abandah
3. "Improving Arabic Dialect Text Classification by Finetuning a Pretrained Token-free Large Language Model" – I. Hindi and G. Abandah
