Professor Rana Imam, also from the University of Jordan, received the ALECSO Award for Creativity and Innovation for Young Researchers in the green economy category during the 2024 University of Sharjah session. This award, which honors outstanding published research in sustainability, celebrates Professor Imam’s contributions to advancing green economy solutions. Her work underscores the University of Jordan’s commitment to fostering innovative research that addresses environmental challenges and promotes sustainable development across the Arab region.
Dr. Abu Hajar, as project coordinator at the University of Jordan, led a transformative Erasmus+ Program project, co-funded by the European Union with €924,000. This initiative, involving a consortium of institutions including Mutah University (Jordan), Islamic University of Gaza (Palestine), Al-Quds University (Palestine), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium), IHE-Delft (The Netherlands), and Eummena (Belgium), aimed to enhance M.Sc. curricula and develop eLearning for a new eMaster program in water resources engineering. The project equips future professionals with the technical and managerial skills to tackle water challenges using innovative solutions, reinforcing the group’s impact on global water sustainability.
