Prof. Yasmin Zuhair Murad Professor of Structural Engineering Department of Civil Engineering, The University of Jordan
Prof. Yasmin Murad is a distinguished Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Jordan. She earned her Ph.D. from Imperial College London, one of the top-ranked engineering institutions globally. Her research expertise lies in structural behavior, materials performance, and sustainable construction solutions, with a strong focus on real-world applications that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Prof. Murad is recognized among the Top 2% of scientists worldwide according to a global study conducted by Stanford University and Elsevier. She has published over 50 Scopus-indexed articles, many of which appear in Q1 and Q2 journals, and currently holds an H-index of 29.
She is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including:
Outstanding Woman Researcher in Structural Engineering (2024) – Venus International Foundation
Early Career Researcher Award (2024) – Emerald Publishing

Promoted to full professor with seven times the required research points—a record in the College of Engineering—Prof. Murad continues to lead through research excellence, international collaboration, and mentorship of early-career scholars.
