Patterns of Dialogue in Modern Jordanian Poetry A Reading in Selected Models

This study aims to explore a dynamic and vibrant artistic phenomenon: the use of *dialogue* in poetry. Poets have employed dialogue to infuse their work with spirit, vitality, and dramatic effect. Selected samples of modern Jordanian poetry were analyzed to assess the effectiveness of this technique and its impact on the poetic text. The research is divided into an introduction and two chapters. The first chapter addresses the concept of dialogue—both linguistically and terminologically—and examines its various types. The second chapter is analytical, demonstrating the patterns of dialogue that emerge in modern Jordanian poetry through an analysis of selected samples, guided by critical perspectives on dialogue. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach, combining a theoretical exploration of dialogue and its types with a critical reading of poetic samples. It reveals how dialogue techniques are employed in contemporary Jordanian poetry to enrich meaning and enhance aesthetic expression. The research concludes with a summary of the main findings, followed by a list of sources and references consulted in both the theoretical and applied sections.
