Dr. Rania Za'rour is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Jordan. In addition to her academic role, she has contributed to the university’s administration as Assistant Dean for Accreditation and Quality Assurance, supporting curriculum development and quality initiatives. She has over 15 years of teaching experience, delivering courses in English language skills, linguistics, and transferable skills to a diverse student body.

Dr. Za'rour’s research focuses on applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, corpus analysis, and online discourse. Her doctoral work at Victoria University of Wellington examined second language acquisition in migrant communities, and she continues to investigate language learning and use in varied social and digital contexts. She uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze language data, with particular interest in how meaning, identity, and community are constructed through language. Dr. Za'rour’s research also informs her approach to curriculum design and educational practice, as she works to connect linguistic theory with real-world applications.​
