The Sport Nutrition Profiling research group, led by Dr. Hadeel Ghazzawi, has received an official invitation to participate in an internationally funded research project under the National Institutes of Science and Technology Program (INCT), supported by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), with a budget of up to R$15 million (approximately US$2.5 million).
The project, titled BIA Brasil, brings together 25 Brazilian universities along with international partners to foster scientific research through global collaboration. Members of the Sport Nutrition Profiling research group will actively contribute to key aspects of the project, including developing research methodologies, training scientific teams, conducting workshops, analyzing data, and publishing findings in leading scientific journals and conferences. The funding will support state-of-the-art equipment, technological advancements, and international researcher travel to Brazil for research events.
