Achievements

Members of this research group have been responsible for utilizing their research and expertise in achieving and developing projects, policy and guideline papers, and consultations for governmental and non-governmental bodies such as: 

Dr. Ghofran Hilal and Dr. Hadeel Al-Zubi supervised teams representing the Law School at the University of Jordan in a series of international and local student Moot Court competitions in the fields of Public International Law, Human Rights, International Criminal law, Constitutional law, and administrative law. 

Dr. Mohammad Al-Fawareh and Dr. Muath Al-Zubi conducted a guide in collaboration with Terre des Hommes concerning the rights of child victims and witnesses of crime. The guide aims to clarify the legal path for the rights of this category by approaching many legal provisions scattered in several laws, in order to facilitate the task of those responsible for implementing these laws or those concerned with applying their provisions, in a way that ensures their consistency with international agreements on children's rights and the standards and directives emanating from them.

Dr. Ghofran Hilal p​​rovided legal consultation to the World Bank Group for the Women, Business and the Law report for the Year 2024​​ ​

​Dr. Muath Al-Zubi part​icipated as a Judge in the Global Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition two times as well as as a Judge in the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition (The Hague, The Netherlands) five times. ​

Dr. Ghofran Hilal chaired the organizing committee for the 4th MENA environmental law sc​holars' conference titled "Law on Biodiversity, Nature Conservation in the Middle East and North African (MENA) Region" which was funded by the United Nations, Rule of Law Programme Middle East & North Africa, Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung, SADER Publishing, Law and Legal Training, and Hamad Bin Khalifa University's (HBKU) UNESCO Chair on Environmental Law and Sustainable Development.​
