The group has successfully initiated the first national study on pediatric liver transplantation in Jordan, highlighting the challenges faced by patients and families, as well as the outcomes of the transborder living donor liver transplant model for children. 2.Public Awareness and Media Engagement:
In a recent Jordan Television interview, Dr. Fareed Khdair discussed the urgent need to develop a comprehensive national liver transplant program, emphasizing the importance of organ donation and the establishment of a dedicated national institution for liver transplantation. He also announced the upcoming Third National Scientific Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation, to be hosted by the University of Jordan on December 23, 2025.
3.Organizing the Third National Scientific Day:
The group, in collaboration with the School of Medicine and the Deanship of Scientific Research, is organizing the Third Scientific Day on Organ Donation and Transplantation. This major national event will bring together experts from the Ministry of Health, Royal Medical Services, private hospitals, and Jordanian universities, and will feature international speakers from the United States, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.
