The University of Jordan Liver Transplantation Research Group (UJ-LTRG) was featured today on the national morning program “Yawm Jadeed" (A New Day) broadcast on Jordan Television.
During the segment, Dr. Fareed Khdair, Consultant of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Jordan University Hospital and a member of UJ-LTRG, spoke about the upcoming Third Scientific Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation, scheduled to be held in December at the University of Jordan under the patronage of the University President.
Dr. Khdair also highlighted the group's latest research on pediatric liver transplantation, conducted at Jordan University Hospital — the first scientific study of its kind in Jordan. He emphasized the importance of building national capacity in liver transplantation, promoting organ donation awareness, and advancing collaborative research to improve patient outcomes.
The appearance reflects the University of Jordan's growing leadership in organ donation advocacy, clinical research, and the vision of establishing a national center for liver transplantation and research in the near future.
