 UJ-LTRG Meets with the Vice President of the University of Jordan to Discuss Future Plans and the Upcoming National Scientific Day on Organ Transplantation

The University of Jordan Liver Transplant Research Group (UJ-LTRG) held a productive meeting with Professor Faleh Sawair, Vice President for Global Rankings and International Accreditation at the University of Jordan​ to discuss the group's strategic vision, ongoing research initiatives, and the future roadmap for establishing a national pediatric and adult liver transplant program at the University of Jordan Hospital.

During the meeting, the group presented updates on recently published research and outlined upcoming collaborative projects supported by the Deanship of Scientific Research. The discussion also focused on the Third National Scientific Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation, scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

The event will feature national and international experts addressing key topics including:

  • Religious, legal, and societal aspects of organ donation
  • Challenges and opportunities in establishing a liver transplant center in Jordan
  • Regional success stories from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the UAE

This meeting marks another important milestone in the group's mission to advance organ transplant medicine in Jordan through research, collaboration, and education.​
