​Dr. Alladein M. Adawi is an Associate Professor of Islamic Studies and Hadith, Department of Foundations of Religion- School of Islamic Studies- The University of Jordan, He has been the head of the department of foundations of religion 2017-2019, 2022- ,and was the head of the department for the study of Islam in the contemporary world in the University of Jordan 2013-2017, Dr. Adawi teaches Islamic and hadith studies in the faculty of Shari’ah since 2009. Alladein earned his PhD from the University of Birmingham, U.k, in 2009 and his exp​ertise is in the fields of Islamic studies, Islamic culture, hadith, Islam and modern issues, environment and water in Islamic teachings, woman in Islam, research methodologies in Islamic studies and Orientalism, and Islam and pluralism and Islam and interfaith dialogue which are the main fields of his research interest. He is a former assistant dean of the faculty of Shari’ah and Institute for the study of Islam in the contemporary world 2011-2013.​
