The Prosthetics and Orthotics Healthcare Quality (POHQ) Research Group proudly organized and participated in the 4th JNSPO Scientific Day, the first scientific event in Jordan fully dedicated to diabetic foot care, held on Saturday, 20 December 2025, at the Amman Chamber of Commerce Auditorium.
The scientific day was organized in collaboration with the Jordanian National Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (JNSPO) and the Arab Union Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (UASPO), under the theme:
“Awareness · Prevention · Management”
Members of the POHQ Research Group played a key role in:
Planning and organizing the scientific program
Coordinating multidisciplinary speakers
Contributing to scientific discussions and workshops
Actively attending and engaging in all sessions
The event brought together experts in prosthetics and orthotics, medicine, wound care, rehabilitation, and diabetes management to address critical issues related to diabetes-related foot complications, including prevention strategies, screening, offloading, wound bed preparation, and innovative technologies.
The program included expert lectures and workshops on:
Prevention and risk factors of diabetes-related foot complications
Screening and early detection of diabetic foot conditions
Offloading management of diabetic foot ulcers
The role of P&O in reducing amputations
Advanced wound care and silver-based dressings
Smart insole systems for ulcer prevention
Epidemiology of diabetes-related foot disorders
This scientific day reflects the POHQ Research Group’s mission to:
Promote evidence-based practice in prosthetics and orthotics
Strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration
Improve quality of care and patient outcomes, particularly for people with diabetes
Support national and regional professional development in P&O healthcare services
