Ahmad Al-Bess is an agricultural engineer who graduated from the University of Jordan. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) and Chairman of the Chemical and Cosmetics Sector Board. Additionally, he serves as the CEO of Al-Qawafel Industrial Agricultural Company and as the Director of the National Center for Energy and Environmental Sustainability at JCI. ​​
