 New Achievement for the Sharia School Contributing to the ICM Group

The University of Jordan successfully hosted two renowned scholars, Prof. Habib Ahmad from Durham University, UK, and Prof. Mansor Ibrahim from INCEIF, Malaysia, for a series of workshops and discussions from June 1-3, 2024. This collaboration has created a significant impact that will positively contribute to the ICM group:

1. Workshops by Prof. Habib Ahmad:

   - Delivered an in-depth analysis of regulatory frameworks in financial technology, emphasizing Islamic finance.

   - Explored emerging trends and future opportunities in Islamic economics and finance research.

2. Workshops by Prof. Mansor Ibrahim:

   - Provided valuable insights into the application of econometrics in Islamic finance research, enhancing analytical approaches.

   - Identified strategic directions for future research aligned with industry needs.

This successful event enhanced the knowledge, research capabilities, and academic rigor of the ICM group through the efforts of the Sharia School, which facilitated this valuable collaboration. It sets a strong foundation for future partnerships and innovation in Islamic finance research and education.​


New Achievement: Dr. Dalia Ibrahim Mustafa Honored for Outstanding Contributions to Islamic Finance Education

Dr. Abdel Rahman Al Kilani, Dean of the Faculty, honored Dr. Dalia Ibrahim Mustafa for her outstanding contributions to Islamic finance education and active participation in supporting students. Dr. Mustafa has organized and conducted numerous courses, workshops, and discussion sessions over multiple semesters, focusing on pivotal topics such as Islamic Sukuk, Islamic accounting, and the role of endowments in funding educational institutions. Additionally, she has played a vital role in serving on committees for discussing and evaluating student projects in the Islamic Banking Department. This recognition highlights her dedication to advancing knowledge and fostering academic excellence in Islamic finance.​


New Achievement: Dr. Muneer Maher Alshater Wins Prestigious Abdul Hameed Shoman Award

Dr. Muneer Maher Alshater, a lecturer in the Islamic Banking Department, has been honored with the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers and Scientists 2023 in the field of economic and administrative sciences. ​

​The award ceremony, held under the patronage of Dr. Azmi Mahafza, Minister of Education and Higher Education, representing HRH Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, celebrated disting.uished Arab researchers across multiple disciplines. Dr. Alshater expressed his pride in this achievement, considering it a milestone for himself, the University of Jordan, and his homeland, Jordan. He emphasized that this recognition will inspire him to continue advancing research in Islamic finance, fintech, and digital transformation.
