he Jordan Securities Commission has announced the formation of the Central Sharia Supervisory Board for Islamic Sukuk, following the Cabinet’s decision based on the recommendation of the Fatwa Council. The board includes a group of distinguished experts in Islamic financial jurisprudence, aiming to strengthen the Sharia governance framework for the issuance of Islamic sukuk in Jordan.

Dr. Munir Al-Shater has been selected as a member of the Central Sharia Supervisory Board, bringing his academic and research expertise to the development of sukuk structures in alignment with Sharia principles and international best practices.

The inclusion of these leading scholars and specialists—among them Dr. Munir Al-Shater—is expected to play a significant role in enhancing confidence in Islamic sukuk products, improving the regulatory environment, and ensuring that financial instruments comply with Sharia standards, thereby strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional hub for Islamic finance.​
