Islamic Banking Department Organizes Insightful Academic Visit to the Securities Commission

The Department of Islamic Banking at the Faculty of Sharia recently organized an academic visit to the Securities Commission for a select group of students. This initiative aimed to provide the students with practical insights and a deeper understanding of the operations within financial regulatory bodies. The visit was supervised by several esteemed faculty members, including the Head of the Department, Dr. Majdi Ghaith, Dr. Basel Al-Shaer, and Dr. Dalia Ibrahim, whose collective expertise significantly enhanced the learning experience.

During the visit, the students were given an extensive tour of various facilities within the Securities Commission, allowing them to observe firsthand the environment in which financial regulations are implemented and enforced. The tour was followed by an in-depth engagement in three specialized sessions led by experts from the Commission. These sessions covered key aspects of the Commission's operational mechanisms, regulatory frameworks, and the diverse range of activities it oversees.

The academic visit was a valuable opportunity for students to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of Islamic banking and finance. The insights gained from this experience are expected to enrich their academic journey and better prepare them for future professional roles within the financial sector.
