About:
Dr. Walid Alkhatib is a dedicated researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies, where he leads the Public Opinion Polls and Surveys Department. He earned his PhD in Political Statistics and his Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Kent in England. In addition to his research, Dr. Alkhatib serves as a part-time lecturer at the University of Jordan.
His research interests encompass a range of topics, including electoral systems, the democratization process in the Middle East, political reform in the Arab world, refugee studies, and crisis management. He specifically examines public opinion regarding reform, perceptions of contemporary issues, democratization, and political participation.
During his doctoral studies, Dr. Alkhatib taught a variety of statistics courses, including Statistics for Psychology Students, Linear Regression Analysis, and data analysis using Minitab and SPSS.
