Her DPhil project directly led to establishing a systemic validation protocol in preparation for clinical diagnostic services at Oxford Molecular Diagnostics Centre, and it was instrumental in establishing the groundwork for the 100,000 Genome Project and Genomics England.

Her current work is focused on enabling innovative scientific discovery and boosting the development of Saudi genomics industry related to rare diseases and cancers.

She has an exceptional background and experience in next generation sequencing platforms and solutions: technical (workflow), analytical (bioinformatics), clinical (reporting), and intellectual (research).​
