​Dr. Bashar Tarawneh, Ph.D., P.E., is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Jordan. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 25 years of experience in civil and geotechnical engineering, specializing in soil investigation, ground improvement, shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, earth retaining structures, and infrastructure development. He has published more than 100 papers and technical reports, and has been actively involved in academic accreditation, engineering education, and consulting for major infrastructure projects in Jordan and the United States. His current research interests include the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in civil and geotechnical engineering, particularly for predictive modeling, risk assessment, and foundation design. ​
