Wassel AL Bodour is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Jordan with an expertise in Geotechnical Engineering. Dr. AL Bodour has been conducting research and teaching on FE modeling, soil mechanics, soil dynamics, and stability of natural and manmade slopes, such as dams, soil liquefaction during earthquakes, and stabilization and behavior Landslides. He has been involved in a number of projects on these topics, which has facilitated to interface research and practice. He is currently researching non-linear soil vibrations induced by an external incident and propagates plastically.
Dr AL Bodour worked on several projects of geoengineering, including but not limited to, seismic hazards and Liquefaction, soil vibrations due to CO2 compressors, vibrations levels in soil, Slopes and Landslide stabilization, Geo-Instrumentation, Geo-Modeling, Landfills, and subsurface exploration
Dr. AL Bodour Served as the Assistant Dean for Quality Assurance and Accreditation from 2015 t0 2017. He received a B.S. of Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, from Jordan University of Science and Technology, 1998, and M.Sc.. of Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, from Jordan University of Science and Technology, 2005. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, from The University of Akron.
Dr. AL Bodour, prior to his academic track, worked for GeoSyntec Engineering as Senior Geotechnical Engineer from 2010 to 2013 and worked as a Geotechnical Engineer for E L Robinson in 2010. He Also worked for The Government in Jordan from 2001 to 2005
