​Professor Fathi Shaqour has a solid technical background in engineering geology, environmental geology, hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering, and materials engineering. He obtained his PhD in Engineering Geology from Leeds University and a certificate in Engineering Management from the School of Engineering at RMIT Australia. He has solid experience in teaching at various universities in Australia and the Middle East as well as working in consulting in engineering geological applications and ground engineering. Additionally, he has published numerous high-quality research articles in reputable international journals and actively serves as a peer reviewer for several professional journals.​
