Mohammad Abdelfattah Sarhan is a Full Professor of Applied Geophysics at the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, Damietta University, Egypt, recognised through scientific excellence. His primary research focuses on interpreting seismic and well-logging data for hydrocarbon exploration and reservoir evaluation. In addition, his work examines the depositional and tectonic evolution of subsurface sedimentary successions and their associated petroleum systems, aiming to achieve a comprehensive understanding that serves both academic and applied aspects of sedimentary basin analysis. He has a particular interest in sequence stratigraphic analysis, which enhances the prediction of potential hydrocarbon distributions and reservoir quality in subsurface environments.
