ACPC Silver Medal and ICPC Qualification – 2025
In 2025, Dr. Abdelbaset Assaf supervised and trained a team of exceptional students from the University of Jordan who competed in the Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ACPC), one of the most competitive programming contests in the MENA region. Through rigorous preparation, mentoring, and advanced problem-solving training sessions, the team achieved an outstanding result — winning the Silver Medal among dozens of top-ranking universities across the Arab world.

Their strong performance at the ACPC earned them a place in the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), the world’s most prestigious university-level programming competition. The qualification reflects not only the students' dedication and talent but also Dr. Assaf’s commitment to fostering excellence in competitive programming and algorithmic thinking.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the research group and highlights the impact of hands-on mentorship, structured training, and strategic academic support in preparing students for international-level challenges.

As part of our group's continuous learning and capacity-building efforts, Dr. Rana Yousef successfully completed a 40-hour “Artificial Intelligence Development Training" program offered by the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University (FSMVÜ) Continuous Education Center. The training, held between September 25 and October 24, 2023, focused on key Generative AI concepts, tools, and development practices. This achievement demonstrates our commitment to staying current with AI advancements and strengthening the technical foundations needed for cutting-edge generative AI research and applications in information systems.
